Part 3: A Vision for the Two

On the "short" list of demands we would like these 2 cabins to be:

Cozy yet spacious: so cozy you almost wanna cuddle something/someone, completely forgetting you are in Caribbean grade heat and humidity.

Open, airy: we want it to feel as if you are as close to Mother Nature as possible while again not feeling like you have woken up in an episode of survivor. Lots of windows, lots of green, Separate yet surrounded.

Fun: we really want it to feel magical, like a fort, tree house, or fairy palace, so naturally spiral staircases, cargo nets and lofted things are high on the priority list.

Isolating: we want you to have access to us/community when you want, while also feeling like you have the space to breathe and escape if you wish to take it. We hope for you to see more trees, stars, and blue skies than people while tucked inside your little cabin.

Kitchenette: Even if small, we want you to have one; Why?! because we have lived in places that don’t and there is nothing less appealing than trekking through the pitch black to boil water for tea while sick, or to clean your first Dominican tattoo, or whatever you gotta do that requires a sink & stove top; and we support you having the option to brew as much tea as possible..

Bathroom: we have definitely stayed in places without them, and consider it luxurious when you don’t have to negotiate with middle of the night urges or emergencies.

Storage: because it would just be nice to have a place to shove things that take away from the magic of a space we curated for you to disconnect and forget the world you left behind, even if just for a bit, so the fewer suitcases taunting you day-in and day-out, we think, the better!

Outdoor features: we would like you to have some sort of balcony, a way to step outside and fully immerse in the sky and the rolling hills it shepherds below it, while also remaining within the confines of your personal escape.

Shareable space: we hope to achieve all of the above in a way that makes the space conducive to sharing, if you choose, with a few select others.
