A quiet leader, a brother, a builder, A natural born innovator, we thrive where the tradition he inherited meets his resourcfullness...this is the legacy of his hands
Alex is hardworking and dependable, and although he is a true jack of all trades it's not the fact that he CAN, that is most impressive or that makes him a natural leader, it is the fact that he WILL, he always seems to find the quiet will we need to push forward.

Meet
"The Carpenter"
I remember noticing not long after Luiyi that he too would disappear beyond the plantain trees: after returning from work and in the morning before going. He would head back behind the trees at first light, and work side-by-side with Luiyi, exit to work the land of those that employed him by day, only to return in the evening to work once more by the side of his baby brother. He could have said no, he could have said he couldn’t, he could have said he was tired, and yet those words never left his mouth.
With a pickaxe and few words I saw him start this farm row-by-row never giving-up. if I had to guess, in those early days, the days before I, myself, walked beyond the plantains with any sort of intentioned steps, it was his presence that probably kept two brothers moving through yards and yards of sun baked clay, the Caribbean sun relentlessly keeping time: pickaxe, and shovel, pickaxe, and shove, day-in and day-out they progressed in ways most wouldn't hazard. I can almost hear his, lovingly antagonistic "VAMO VAMO VAMO...insert something additionally antagonistic here" and it was probably a good portion of his knack to both motivate and irritate that helped continue them down a path that represented both legacy and uncertainty for the both of them.
